Meredith Vanstone holds a PhD in Health Professional Education from Western University. She uses qualitative research approaches to examine socio-ethical dimensions of health technology, health policy and health professional education and practice, and applies analyses of primary and secondary qualitative data to inform policy questions. Her current work examines ways to integrate social and ethical considerations into health technology assessments, policy and ethical implications of non-invasive prenatal testing, the role of clinical intuition in diagnostic decision-making, and the introduction of physician assistants to Ontario, including regulatory, interprofessional and post-graduate educational challenges.
