Liza Thong

Administrative Assistant to John N. Lavis

Liza has been the administrative assistant to John Lavis since 1997. She handles general office administration, course administration and research program support for the Program in Policy Decision-Making and the McMaster Health Forum. Liza has worked at McMaster since 1981, when she started with INCLEN (International Clinical Epidemiology Network) in the Department of Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics. INCLEN was an initiative funded by the Rockefeller Foundation to build critical masses of individuals in medical schools in the developing world. She received the McMaster University President’s Staff Award in June 2001.
