Elizabeth Alvarez
Elizabeth is a physician who has previously worked in the United States, Canada and Honduras, and is now in the PhD in Health Policy program at McMaster University. Her role with the Forum involves conducting key informant interviews and synthesizing information in the development of evidence briefs on pressing health challenges. Her research interests lie in health systems strengthening through the use of guidelines to support policymaking in low- and middle-income countries. She plans to develop and test a workbook to support the contextualization of global health systems guidance in two countries for her PhD thesis. In addition to two medical degrees, she has a bachelor’s degree in biology and a Master of Public Health degree. Contact information |
